SEDONA IN NOVEMBER

Road Trip!  The first time on the road for Baden for an extended time.  Thankfully, he slept most of the way, and when awake,  happily had a bottle and was entertained by Kaiyun.

It was a windy day, and as we left the city, several trucks were pulled to the side of the road.

What I thought was smoke was dust kicked up by the wind.

Although chilly, this was a beautiful day for a ride.  Snow had fallen in the higher elevations during the night.

From near 1 mile high, we began our descent to Sedona.

Kaiyun booked adjoining rooms with a door connecting the two units.  Baden made himself at home.

Views from our patios...

Brett took us off-roading.  Perhaps because this was a holiday weekend, many folks had set up campsites along the dirt trail.  We eventually turned back when a steep decline with scattered boulders made it possible the 4Runner would get hung up (or turn over?).

Roads around town...

Ready for dinner at the Inn

While Brett cycled the trails, Kaiyun, Baden (covered to prevent him getting too much sun), and I walked what we thought was Bell Rock Trail but found it was Courthouse Butte Loop Trail.  Thus we cut off Courthouse and walked just part way to Bell Rock.

Brett brought back lots of red dust.

To-go lunch for us on the patio.

The evening before returning to Costa Mesa, we took a short hike along Wilson Canyon Trail.  We crossed a creek several times, Brett needing to give me a hand as I endeavored to keep my feet dry.  Kaiyun had no problem!
