MORE WITH BADEN

Baden, Brett's and Kaiyun's boy, is approaching his first birthday.  He continues to be a joy, and photographs so well!  In the last six months, January through June, his folks have captured treasured moments.

Welcome 2022!

WE ADD ANOTHER GENERATION!

Sophia announced to the world last year that she and Carlos are expecting.  At the October Reveal Party, we learned we will be welcoming Baby Boy Carlos, as we've referred to him (this year, another boy, and for me, a GREATgrandson), who is due in mid-May.

Sophia's pregnancy has been typical. Now in her third trimester, with six to eight weeks until his delivery, Sophia is growing more uncomfortable. Naps are now her favorite pasttime. And she is always hungry.

On Sunday, April 27, Dawn hosted a Baby Shower for Sophia and Carlos at the Wales Crossing Clubhouse off 241. Photos shared below were taken by Haleigh, Brandon's girlfriend/SO, and Beth, Matt's fiancee.

With time passing and the baby growing, Sophia's obstetrician suggested she consider an elective C-section, citing the possibility of shoulder dystocia, the term for "he might be too big to deliver vaginally."  Therefore, a couple weeks before his due date, the date for the C-section was scheduled, May 19, which, coincidentally (or not) is Carlos's 20th birthday.

Sophia and Carlos arrived at the hospital at 6:00 AM and she was wheeled into the operating room at 8:30.

Ready to get this party started!

As soon as the spinal was effective, "Los" was delivered at 8:40 AM and back in the room with his  dad at 8:58!  Sophia joined the pair and Dawn less than an hour later.
